The best review of a baby monitors from the Babysense Baby Monitor 5
Hi momma, Emily here with Experienced Mommy, today I am reviewing the Babysense 720P HD Monitor System that I received in the mail for the purpose of actually just doing this review.
So in the package, we have two different cameras, the AC power adapter, and there are three of these, and then USB power cables. They have a mounting kit. There are two of these. There’s the user manual and then the five-inch LCD screen.
The antenna comes up, this pulls out so that you can just prop it up. They advise to fully charge the monitor before the first use. That’ll extend the battery life. Before I even turn this on, I am going to charge it. I have been using this Babysense video monitoring system with the dual cameras for about a week now.
The camera itself actually seems pretty sturdy and comes with two cameras. I really appreciate having both babies on one screen is really useful. If you have one camera in your toddler’s room and one camera in your infant’s room, you can go back and forth to be able to switch screens, which is really great. Up here, that is used for switching the cameras, and it does display a really great full view of the baby in the crib. It’s a big range of viewing.
There’s a magnifying function, which is great because you can see your baby breathing, and I can see Calvin actually having his stomach inflate and deflate. These buttons are actually really well-thought-out. They don’t stick. I think it’s really easy to use. That is the walkie talkie that you can talk back and forth to your baby.
This monitoring system also has the feature of the thermometer. Especially here in Arizona, it’s really great, because the heat rises and we have a two-story house. So when both of my babies are sleeping and napping, and I don’t know how hot it’s getting upstairs but it feels cool downstairs, the monitoring system actually has an alarm to it. It will go off when that temperature gets to that point.
The lullaby function which has six pre-programmed lullabies that you can actually have a play, I liked all the lullabies. They weren’t too annoying to me.
The battery life is good. I didn’t have any issues with that, which is great. I didn’t have to come back up in the middle of nap time and recharge it after using it all night. The range was good. I was able to be downstairs in the garage and still be able, and my babies are upstairs, and still be able to see both of them. The five-inch screen, I mean, this is probably double the size of our Infant Optics, absolutely massive.
It’s a pro that you can see a lot, but the con in this is that it’s a little bit bulky. It’s not like I can put it in my pocket. It’s just kind of a big piece of equipment to lug around the house all the time. I wanted to see how easy it was to reattach the cameras to the monitoring system, and I had a little bit of trouble. It kept coming up as an error. One of them came on really easy.
The other one was a little bit more difficult. Another con that I’d say is that this charging port right here was a little bit difficult to plug in, which sounds silly. So I don’t know whether it’s just the plastic. I eventually got it in, but it did cause me a little bit of trouble at the beginning.
Overall this product will definitely be used with my family, having two babies in two different rooms. I hope this review helps you guys and you enjoy your product as well. Momma out.
The best review of a baby monitors from the Motorola Comfort 75-2
Hi friends, I am so, so, so excited to share with you, Motorola has done a collaboration with me and sent me the Motorola Comfort 75-2 pack of their baby monitor cameras.
Now, I’m really excited because they didn’t just send me one for me to look at and review and experience but they sent me one to give away to one of my followers. So be on the lookout because that giveaway is coming soon. Now I want to do this review so you can see everything that the camera monitor has to offer.
So here is one of the units and the other unit, I have it right now in the living room, which is what you’re looking at now.’ now, in order to pan to the sides, you will go ahead and just press the Pan button so it has a really good Pan feature, you can actually get pretty far across. And you can actually see the temperature reading up in the corner, which right now it says it’s 78 degrees.
The other reason we have it set up in our living room is that we are transitioning our big girl into a big girl bed and we want to have a second unit out in the living room, just to make sure she’s not moving around the house without us knowing about it in the middle of the night or in the early morning hours.
Once the baby arrives in February, we’re gonna go ahead and move that camera unit into the baby’s nursery. So we’ll have one unit in each of the nurseries to watch both of the kids at the same time.
Now I mentioned the temperature feature. It’s not unusual for temperatures to fluctuate throughout the house, so I want to go ahead and just show you the temperature right now, in this room that I’m in, my daughter’s room and just show you how clear the visibility is on the camera, you can see everything. And how the temperature in here is actually 75 degrees.
Babies need really cool temperatures in order to thrive. They actually sleep much better in cooler temperatures and this is a great way to monitor that their sleeping space is not only safe but cool for them and comfortable. So right now, my daughter’s room is 75 degrees but my living room is 78.
Every single room might have a different temperature, no matter what your thermostat in the house is set at. So this is a great, great feature that I absolutely love.
I’m also gonna show you one of the other features that I love and it’s the Night Vision on the camera.
Night Vision is really important on a baby camera because it’s really what you need to see if your baby during those nighttime hours when you’re not actually in front of the baby. So here I can see my daughter’s bed really, really clearly. You can even see the stuff’s eyes and all her sheets and even the graphics on her bed sheets so you can see that it’s actually a really good quality Night Vision on that camera.
Now the other thing I wanted tho show you is, it has different features like a Music function.
It has a timer so you can set it to two, four or six hours, depending on what it is that you want to do. And then it also has Celsius or Fahrenheit and then you can actually switch really easily between the cameras in each of the rooms. So that’s really up to you. I also want to show you the microphone. It has a great microphone on it.
Sometimes the microphones can sound a little bit not human, this one actually sounds great. So I did want to tell you about that. So the little stand makes it so that you can put it around your house, anywhere you want and these are not Wifi-enabled, which I actually prefer. I’ve never wanted a Wifi-enabled camera but it’s a really personal decision. I recommend that you look into it but they do have the Hubble app, so depending on the camera that you choose, you’ll be able to use the Hubble app.
But right now, I’m gonna show you what I’m gonna be using on the Hubble app, which is the Baby Tracker.
So I’m gonna go ahead and show you right now on the screen, how it is that it looks. To open up the Hubble app, you’ll be able to click on the upper right-hand icon, that’s a mother holding her baby and it opens up the Baby Tracker. Once the baby comes in February, I’m so excited to try this out because you can track sleep, growth, feeding, diaper changes and pumping.
So just to get an idea, the Sleep Tracker is really useful because, in order to get the baby on a schedule eventually, it’ll be nice to have a list of the sleep patterns that the baby has throughout the day and this will track that for you. Also, Growth is really, really important.
We’re always worried about the baby’s weight, especially after birth and then there’s also the Feeding Tracker.
The Feeding Tracker’s great because you can either choose breast milk, bottle or solid options. And then under Breast Milk, for example, a lot of us forget, we’re kind of in a haze in the beginning so you can actually track whether they did left or right or both and how long they did it for.
So if you click Left, it’ll go ahead and let you enter in a number, let’s just say and if you click Right, you can go ahead and enter in another number. So you can go ahead and save that information. Just an example of how that will look and it’ll go ahead and store it for you as you go on.
Diaper, diaper changes are really important also, in the beginning, to track whether it was pee or poop, and this app lets you do that. So it’s really, really a one-stop-shop for information.
This is great for pumping because once again, a lot of us forget, we’re in a haze at the beginning so this lets you track left or right and the quantity that you got out of each breast so that you can go ahead and document that information.
So this is a great tool. Once again, it’s called the Hubble app and you’re sure to really enjoy this because it has everything you need.
