The best review VAVA Baby Monitors Split-Screen for Twins
What’s going on, everyone? Welcome back to the channel. In this video, I’m gonna bring you something a little different, and that I’m going to bring you a long-term review, well, two or three months term review of our actual baby monitor, which is different than what I usually on this channel, but it is somewhat tech-related.
It was actually a very difficult decision for us. We looked at five or six different systems, and none of them were cheap, so we wanna make sure we got the right one. I think we did, so I wanna give you an idea of our general thoughts on this. So we actually have the VAVA, VAVA, I’m not really sure how you say it. Basically, they’re 720p five-inch monitor. It does come with the 2 webcam, which we have here. I’ll get into the components. I’ll get you a vide of that, kinda how we have it set up, and my thoughts of just what kinda what you get in the box, but it is their five-inch 720p monitoring system for a baby. And it costs about $260.
None of these were cheap. We looked at multiple options. We looked at Nest Cams. We looked at some of the different varieties out there. They range all the way up to four, $500. We didn’t want to spend a ton of money. We just wanted something that was safe to monitor the baby that would fit our needs.
So with that being said, let’s jump in, kinda show you how we have it set up, and then I will show you what’s in the box, kinda what we like, don’t like, and give it kind of our final thoughts on it. So is this is basically everything you get in the box, give you a quick overview of it and a little review. This is the camera. Again, 720p. You can get a wider angle lens for this.
We can make it work. We’re not gonna spend any more money on it. You have your antenna and then your microphone over here. Multiple speakers throughout, I believe three total. Your on/off button. It does have a light indicator there when it’s on. On the bottom, you do get a nice rubberized little texture here, which makes it basically stay pretty still once you get it on to a surface.
It’s not gonna slide around fairly easily. A pair button here. You do have to pair it. Once you pair it, we have no issues with it unpairing or anything along that line. And then you have your mount here that we’d use to actually mount it on the wall. It works really well. Feels very light.
That’s one thing I will say is that it doesn’t feel like the most sturdy or well-built thing, but we haven’t had any issues with it over the past couple of months. So overall, I would say it’s fairly good quality. We haven’t had any problems with it. So we’re happy with that. The downside is that its actual power connector is not the same as this.
So I believe this is a micro USB and this is USB-C I believe. So you can’t use… You can’t interchange the chargers and the power cord. You kinda have to use them separately. So this is the power cord for the actual monitor. I will try… So now I should have it on. We will show you the monitor. I’m not gonna leave it on. I’m just gonna kinda demonstrate. It is a little loud you can hear when you’re moving it, but it has not disturbed our baby at all. I’m gonna turn this off, otherwise, we’re gonna get audio interference.
But this is the basic monitor that you use with the camera. So once you get it set up and all paired. It’s gonna beep at me because, again, it’s not connected. But it’s a very minimal menu. Basically, you just have your brightness, your volume settings. So you can’t set when it actually turns this monitor off. Nothing too fancy there. You have your zoom. I’m gonna turn that off because that’s gonna drive me nuts. You have your zoom.
Your autopilot, you can adjust it with this wheel. You can talk to the baby or talk to whoever you want if someone else is in the room. You do have your LED lights up here, which I’ll try to show you with the baby crying. This will be green, and yellow, and red, depending on how loud he’s crying. I’ve got a charge port.
Your power is up here on the top. And then you also have your antenna if you wanna put that up. This has got a pretty good range. I’ve never had to put the antenna up. I’ve used it in the backyard before, the front yard, and it actually works pretty well. You have a little stand here, which is nice. It feels pretty well built too for the stand. It feels pretty robust, so I don’t feel like it’s gonna break or anything.
We are not the most gentle with this, so it still lasted pretty well. You’ve got your speakers on the back, and you have your charge port. I believe that’s USB-C or maybe USB, micro USB. I don’t know. But it’s come with a nice charger. So you do charge it. Not the greatest battery life if you leave the screen on. But if you leave where the screen turns off let’s say after a minute, two minutes, it will last for a couple of days without any issue.
We usually wait till the screen turns off, and you can hear them when they’re crying, and then you just check on. You just hit the little OK button here, and it will turn the screen back on to check on them. Not the greatest display or quality. But again, you’re not buying this for iPhone-type screens or webcams. It’s there. It’s there to serve a purpose, which is to monitor your baby. I do like that this actually disconnects, so you can actually charge this, which I have tested.
You can charge it with a laptop or any other type of charger which is nice. So you can use your iPhone charger. It doesn’t charge quite as fast, but you can do that. Battery life has been pretty good, so we haven’t had any issues there. But that’s it. That’s what you get a box. Overall, pretty happy with the built quality, even though they don’t feel the most well-built, we didn’t have any issues with them.
So now that you got everything set up, I’m gonna go through what it looks like, kinda my general routine, and how we actually use this thing. So generally we have it mounted, as you can see, here on the crib, right above it. It does have nice mount hardware that comes with it. So, generally, we have it mounted to point down into the crib. Again, it’s very portable, easy to move around. So this is what you do. There’s an on or off button over here on the side. Turn it on.
Turning it on just for demonstration purposes, and then you just turn on the monitor. And it’s pretty quick to power on. It actually… See, it doesn’t take very much time. And this is generally how we have it set up.
There’s a nice kickstand here in the back. So it’s pretty nice to control with the little dial here if you want to scroll left, right, down. It’s pretty quick, pretty responsive. The camera looks much better as you can see here in good lighting. And then you can zoom in with this little button here. So if you wanted to check in on the baby, get a little closer, pretty easy to do. When you zoom in, the quality obviously goes down immensely.
You can get a wider angle for this if you wanna pay a little bit more, but we just have the standard one on. You can talk to the baby, so you can hear. Again, it’s going to have some audio interference because we’re gonna have multiple audio things going right now. And the nice thing about this is that it actually has a pretty good travel distance. I’ll just take a walk. Pretty easy to monitor. And the battery life is fairly decent on this. And this will actually go all the way throughout our house.
So we could take it basically anywhere around our yard, and it stays connected. I can still zoom in here. We’re all the way at the far end of the house now. You can see here probably not the best lighting, but see it still works. You can still control it. Zoom in and talk to him if you want to do that. And that’s it. That’s really how we use it. We move it throughout the house in different spots.
This is generally the second spot we use it. It will not actually sit up here like this and point down into the bassinet. So what I do is I just maneuver it like that. Probably not the safest thing to do or the most practical, but it works. We’ve been doing it like that for months and haven’t had any issues. And then it’ll point right down into the bassinet.
We honestly never leave this hooked up in the room unless he’s sleeping, and we can hook it up and then come back and check on. But overall, that’s how we do it when we’re doing the bassinet in our actual room. So, just wanna get different shots of the camera. This is it in the living room. Again, we usually move this around pretty often right now because the little guy is only two months old.
The power switch is down here. One thing I don’t like about it is that there’s no way to adjust the height on it, so we kinda have to stack up random things as you can see with its setting. When it’s not up like that, it doesn’t actually get a good clean picture of him. So this is how we have it set up in the living room. Pretty long power cord. I will mention that. So it’s a decent long power cord.
But this is a shot of it, kinda set up how we have it now. This is to get you an idea of what the monitor is like just set up, having set up here in our living room. The lighting is not as great as you can see. The image quality is not great from the 720p monitor, but overall it does its job. As you can see, it has indicator lights here for when the baby is making noise, which is nice.
And the screen will actually turn off at some point and just do the audio, which is nice, so it doesn’t drain the battery. You can zoom here. So you can zoom in. Again, the image quality is not great, but that’s not really why you’re buying this. You’re getting it for more than the overall package. And overall, it does pretty well. It does better.
It does look a lot better in better lighting. But generally, where the baby’s at when you’re monitoring him, the lighting is not gonna be great, to begin with. So you can’t see the audio is actually pretty good on it. As you can tell, the baby is a little upset right now.
I kinda do this on purpose, so will be getting him in one second, but this was kind of to show you a little bit of the actual monitor. So after having this system for about two or three months, we do not use it all the time, but we do use it in different settings. We use it at our crib that you’ve seen.
We use it in our bassinet. We use it in the living room. And overall, we’ve been really happy with it. The built quality of the camera doesn’t feel like the most well-built thing, but we have not had any issues. We’ll kinda see how it works as time goes on to see if it’s something that we have issues with. The negative is that if you want a wider angle, you do have to pay for it. There’s an adapter you can have here. It’s very expensive.
But you can just move it back if you wanna do a little bit wider. The monitor is actually not… The monitor and the webcam are not of the greatest quality. 720p, nothing outstanding here. Even the monitor on here isn’t the most vivid. It’s not an iPhone. But again, you only spend $259, and it does a great job of monitoring.
We really like the lights up here, and that the audio on this is really loud. So if you’re sleeping and you hear the baby crying, you actually don’t have to have the screen or the display on. It will turn off to conserve battery life, and you can just look at the little light indicators, which are really easy to see at night, and you can also just tell by the audio from this, which you can adjust. There are five or six different audio volume levels, which is nice. We have it set in the middle, and it works pretty well for us. So we’re really happy about that. We’re happy with the range that we get, so we can go around.
We have about half an acre, and we can go anywhere around throughout our yard, and it connects easily. So if you’re working up in the yard, and the baby’s slipping on the crib or the bassinet, you can take this with you, and it kinda gives a little bit of peace of mind. If he’s crying or whatever, he gets out of his swaddle, because you kinda gotta be careful there because that’s kind of a dangerous thing to have a blanket in there when they’re being swaddled.
You can take this around with you, and you can just put it in your shirt pocket or set it next to you, and it’s pretty easy to hear. The only negative… Oh, it does work really well at night. It has night vision, so it works excellent at night. It doesn’t have the best video quality. But again, that’s not why we’re buying this.
We understood that it wasn’t going to be the greatest in the video. In bad lighting, the video looks bad and it’s kinda hard to distinguish the baby from the blanket or the crib, but generally, you can get it, and it works great at night. So that’s where we’re using it the most, was at night. So it works excellently there. Plenty of range of motion. The only thing I wish is that I kinda wish there was a way to adjust this and put it up a little higher.
That way you can look down, but we usually just prop something up underneath it, like a book or something to get it a little higher, but it has plenty of range of motion. We’re happy with that. We do not like that the chargers aren’t the same. This has some type of like USB type C, and this is a micro USB. So you have two different chargers. I kinda wish they could… They could probably save some money and just did USB-C for both.
Then you could just use the charger for both of them because we don’t have to charge this very often. If you use the display, you will eat through the battery life in a day pretty easily, but we usually leave the display off or have it shut off after about a minute, and it will last three or four days without any type of charge. And if you’re not using it every day, we do not use it every day currently, we just it periodically when we need to, you won’t have any issues with battery life. But overall, we’ve been happy with it, with it’s few minor downfalls.
I’ve had no issues with it. It works great. It feels pretty durable. This screen is a little scratched up because, again, we’ve carried it around outside, throughout the yard, when we’re doing yard work or anything while he’s sleeping. Overall, we’d recommend this to anyone. If you’re interested in buying this, I will leave the link below. If you like this video, please like it. It will help us out.
If you have any questions, leave them below, and I’ll do the best I can to answer them. And that’s it, guys. I’ll be doing more baby stuff, mainly tech-related baby stuff because we have a ton of it now. When you first have a baby, you’d be shocked at how much stuff you actually buy. Some stuff you use, some stuff you don’t.
But this is something we use way more when he gets in his crib, which we are about to transition to that out of our room into the crib where I think this will come in handier, and you can get more monitor and more cameras. So you can add more to this if you want if you wanna get a two-camera setup or you want two monitors, one for you, one for your spouse. So that’s it, guys. Thanks for watching it. Have a great rest of the day, and I will see you guys next time.

Does the monitor Moonybaby Split 60 have lights to reveal that the baby is weeping?
No, the Baby Monitors MBP50-G2 is an easy wireless design as well as not a WiFi-connected one so, sadly, it can not be used with the Hubble application.
As an example, our existing monitor has lights that go from green to red when sound is off
Indeed there are Lights when there is noise. I have actually the monitor readied to only switch on when there is noise. So the display screen is black up until the sound triggers it and then the full-screen shows. You can just set one cam to spot the sound however, not both.
